Telegram Strategy and Its Parameters

The Telegram strategy is used to automatically react to signals coming from Telegram channels. It can:

✓ execute coin purchases based on received signals;

✓ act as a trigger key to start or stop other strategies;

✓ serve as a trigger to cancel orders or force-sell a position if the message contains both the coin name and the specified keyword.

The strategy can operate using its own parameters (order levels, stop-losses, trailing) or use the exact values provided directly in the Telegram signal.

For the strategy to function correctly, it is necessary to:

  • Add the Telegram channels on the Settings → Telegram tab, from which signals will be received.
    For a detailed description of this configuration, see “Settings → Telegram.”;

  • On the Settings → AutoBuy tab, set the required parameters for the Telegram strategy: keywords, tags, filters, and other options.
    For more details on this configuration, see “Settings → AutoBuy.”.

  • MultiTokens: checkbox YES/NO.
    If set to YES, the strategy will execute a command to buy all tokens listed in a single message.
    If set to NO, only one token from the message will be bought.
    ⚠️ Use with caution! Do not enable this option unless you clearly understand its implications.

In addition to this parameter, the general parameters of this strategy include several special options (found on various tabs) that work only in the Telegram strategy.

Parameters on the “Main:” Tab

  • ChannelName: a menu for selecting the name of the Telegram channel from which this strategy will receive signals.
    The list for this menu is created manually by user on Settings → Telegram, using the Add channel button and the channel input field.
    This parameter is available only in Telegram-type strategies.

  • ChannelKey: a field for entering the keyword from the Telegram signal to which the Telegram strategy should react.
    Only one keyword may be specified in this field. If you want the strategy to react to two different keywords, create two copies of the strategy: specify keyword1 in one, and keyword2 in the other. Possible keywords may include “Buy”, “Sell”, “Long”, “Short”, etc. For the PREMIUM-channel, keywords may be: “moon_1” … “moon_20”. This parameter is available only in Telegram-type strategies.

  • AcceptCommands: checkbox YES/NO.
    If set to YES, Trust Management commands will be accepted. This parameter is present only in Telegram and UDP strategies.

 Parameters on the “Buy conditions:” Tab

  • AutoCancelLowerBuy: a field for specifying the time in whole seconds after which Buy orders placed by this strategy will be canceled (auto-cancel counter for Buy orders) if a lower buy price from a Telegram signal was used (Telegram strategy only). If set to 0, the parameter is not applied.

  • TlgUseBuyDipWords: checkbox YES/NO.
    If YES is selected, the strategy will use a lower buy price (see also the TlgBuyDipPrice parameter below) when the Telegram signal contains special “dip words” indicating that the purchase should be made at a price lower than the market price. This parameter is used only in the Telegram strategy.

  • TlgBuyDipPrice: a field for specifying the price at which to buy when a Telegram signal contains a recommendation to buy below the market price (the value is entered as a percentage relative to the market price). This parameter is used only in the Telegram strategy.

Parameters on the "Stops:" Tab

  • UseSignalStops: checkbox YES/NO.
    If YES is selected, stop-loss values will be taken from the Telegram signal.
    Priority rules:

    • If the Telegram signal contains stop values and the checkbox Take Stops/TakeProfit from signals is enabled on the Settings → AutoBuy tab, then the lowest stop value specified in the message will be used;

    • If the Telegram signal does not contain stop prices, the strategy will use the stop settings defined on the Stops tab.
