# Auto close charts

If you select "Menu -> Auto close charts" (with the box ticked), unused charts will automatically close after a specified period of time.

You can adjust the time for charts to close automatically using the slider in the "Settings → Advanced → System" section.

For example, if you set the slider to "Auto close charts after 5 minutes of inactivity", the charts will automatically close after 5 minutes if there is no activity on the chart for that coin.

⚠️ Please note! Having a large number of charts open in the background puts a strain on the API, so we recommend that you configure the automatic closing of charts correctly and avoid leaving them open for long periods of time unless necessary.
