Connecting to the Bybit exchange
Activation of the Bybit exchange in the Moonbot terminal is available only for accounts registered via the referral link:
🔗 https://partner.bybit.com/b/JOINMOONBOT.
For all accounts registered through this link, an automatic cashback of 20% on spot and futures trading applies, and the option to activate a 14-day free trial period of the PRO version becomes available.
After activating the PRO version using the Moonbot referral link, the following bonuses will be available to you:
-
MoonHook strategy;
-
Price emulation on the chart using the Pencil tool;
-
Chart monitoring module in separate windows;
-
MoonKernel module — client-kernel mode for faster manual trading.
If you already have a Bybit account registered via another referral link, you can create a new account using our link and transfer your KYC to the new account. This is officially allowed by the exchange.
The Moonbot terminal for Bybit supports both spot and futures markets.
When using the Moonbot terminal for Bybit on a dedicated server, it is recommended to select the Singapore location for better ping.
Activation is performed through the Moon Credits window (instructions are provided below), and this requires 500 Moon Credits — both for activating the main account and for activating each subsequent subaccount. Moon Credits are available only to users of the PRO version of Moonbot. Before activating Bybit, you must already have the PRO version of the terminal activated for any other exchange.
Instructions for Creating API Keys in a Bybit Account
Immediately after registration, change the account type to UTA. The system will prompt you to perform this action when you first log in to your account (see the figure below).
Before creating API keys, you must complete identity verification (KYC). Without completing KYC, API keys will not have permission to perform trading operations.
When creating an API key, select the System-generated API Keys type (see the figure below):
Next, configure the parameters (see the figure below):
1) Enable the API Transaction option;
2) Enable the Read-Write option;
3) If you select No IP restriction, the API keys will not be bound to an IP address, which is less secure; in this case their validity period will be limited to 90 days;
4) If you select Only IPs with permissions granted are allowed to access the OpenAPI, you must specify a whitelist of IP addresses; this is a more secure option, and in this case the API keys will not have an expiration limit;
5) Enable all checkboxes except the permission to withdraw funds in the access permissions (see the figure below):
How to Activate API Keys in the Terminal for the Bybit Exchange
-
Create API keys on the Bybit exchange website for the main account or a subaccount;
-
Copy the folder with your main PRO terminal for another exchange into a new folder and launch the terminal;
-
Go to Settings → Login, in the Exchange field select Bybit (for spot) or Bybit Futures (for futures) and click Apply;
-
In Settings → Login, register the API keys from your main account or subaccount;
-
In the lower-right corner of the main window of the Moonbot terminal, click the PRO version label to open the Moon Credits window with activations of additional modules (see the figure below);
-
In the Moon Credits window, the lower section displays the balance of your Moon Credits; activating the main account or one subaccount requires 500 Moon Credits; if the balance is sufficient, in the Activate API Key block click the Activate for 500 Credits button — the API keys will be activated in this terminal;
-
If the message Wrong account is displayed, this means that the account was not registered via the referral link specified above;
-
If you need to activate additional subaccounts of the same exchange, repeat the procedure the required number of times.
Specific Features When Working with the Bybit Exchange
Currently, Moonbot on Bybit supports the spot market and linear futures. Inverse Contracts are not supported.
On linear futures, Cross and Isolated Margin modes are available in one way mode. Hedge mode is currently not supported. When depositing funds, they are credited by default to the Funding account; to trade, they must be transferred to the Unified Trading account.
If necessary, you can change the exchange account settings so that deposits are automatically credited directly to the trading account.
When trading on the spot market, the commission is charged in the traded coin (not in USDT or BNB as on Binance); as a result, “dust” may accumulate in the account — small coin balances below the minimum lot that cannot be sold; such balances can be converted into the MNT token through the exchange interface.
