The BackTest module is designed for testing automated trading and practicing manual trading skills using historical trade data from different exchanges. The BackTest module works only with the PRO version of the Moonbot terminal and is activated using Moon Credits.

Important! In scalping, results are not repeatable when replaying the same market recording! * A more detailed explanation is provided at the end of this instruction.

In short: just as two identical MoonBot terminals with identical strategies running on two different VDS servers will not trade exactly the same way on the live market, two BackTest runs using the same historical data and the same strategy also will not produce exactly identical results.

Backtest in scalping — and specifically in Moonbot — is not intended to reproduce results 1:1. Instead, it is used to observe the general behavior of strategies across different types of market conditions and to fine-tune them optimally for those situations.
